Virtual Desktop

Virtual Desktop is a term than can mean many things. Virtual Desktops came about years ago, depending who you ask. But, not that the Internet and Wireless Communications are available almost everywhere, the nature of the Virtual Desktop has changed a great deal.

Virtual Desktops in the old days were tied to a mainframe and dumb terminals. In the Citrix and Microsoft years, Virtual Desktops took on new life with Terminal Services, later call Remote Desktop Protocol or RDP. Vmware came along and changed the nature of the cloud along with Amazon Web Services (AWS EC2).

Now Open Source is really coming on strong with Virtual Desktops. Most people still don’t know quite what to make of them and how to use them. That will change, and soon.

Desktop Anywhere provides you the chance to see what Virtual Desktops are all about, for Free! Just click on the icon in the sidebar that says get your Free Virtual Desktop Now. OK, it says Free Cloud Desktop there but they are the same thing. Get yours now!
